Tarissement, soins particuliers et traitements
Reeks: Future Farming Sur une exploitation laitière, 80 % du temps est dédié à seulement 20 % du cheptel, c’est-à-dire aux vaches nécessitant des soins particuliers : vaches taries, génisses intégrant le troupeau, veaux, vaches fraîches vêlées, vaches boiteuses, vaches faibles et vaches malades. Une mise en œuvre efficace et ciblée de tout ce travail permet de réaliser un gain de temps significatif et d’augmenter la joie au travail. C’est la première raison pour laquelle l’organisation des soins requis est un élément capital de la gestion de toute exploitation laitière.
Par ailleurs, bon nombre des vaches nécessitant des soins se trouvent dans la période la plus critique : avant, pendant et après le vêlage. Plus cette période se passera bien, plus leur productivité sera élevée et moins elles auront de problèmes lors de leur prochaine lactation. Bon nombre de problèmes de santé autour du vêlage peuvent causer des dégâts irréversibles, tels que la fourbure aiguë et l’œdème excessif.
Enfin, un bon planning, une bonne organisation et des soins efficaces permettent de traiter les vaches préventivement et précocement. Ce qui évite qu’elles ne tombent malades et rend leurs chances de rétablissement optimales. D’où un cheptel en bonne santé, sans problèmes et productif. Et une exploitation avec des vaches sereines et des éleveurs satisfaits.
