Broiler farmers are always looking for practical tools that they can use in their daily work. This checkbook focuses on this practical knowledge.

It is certainly not a book to read from back to back, but consists of separate cards on various topics. To be consulted when required. Full of visual aids in the form of photographs and illustrations supported by as little text as possible.

This checkbook has been developed in close collaboration with poultry farmers, veterinarians and farm advisors. It is a collection of 70 cards that can be used independently. 

Topics range from preparations for a new flock, via guidelines for euthanasia to assessing intestinal health and slaughter quality. The whole broiler production process is covered.

There are various type of cards. Instruction cards shows you step-by-step how to perform certain activities on the farm. Scoring cards help you to objectively assess specific potential problems. Checklist address the highlights per topics that you should focus on.

In Broiler Signals Checkbook various topics are presented on separate pages bound together with a wire-o-binding, making it easy to flick through. Pages are laminated in order to withstand dirt and water. So it can be used in the poultry house or anywhere else on the farm in order to have it at hand all the time. Ideal for daily checks but also very supportive during training. To be used not only by farmers but also helpful for advisors, trainers and students.
