Description

Pig Signals e-learning is a practical interactive online course, consisting of 6 separate e-learning modules with different learning activities. After each module, you can take a final test to obtain a certificate. In conclusion, you can take a final exam that tests the knowledge gained on the total Pig Signals course.

Content

Pigs are constantly giving out signals about their health, well-being and performance. Knowledge about the pig's natural behaviour and its specific needs will help you recognise, understand and respond correctly to the signals you come across in practical situations. The Pig Signals course follows the management process on a pig farm in different stages of the production. The focus is on optimising technical and economic farm results, taking into account animal welfare aspects, health and disease management, efficiency and sustainability goals.

Modules:

Module 1 - Recognising Pig Signals

Module 2 - Reproduction and pregnant sows

Module 3 - Farrowing

Module 4 - Weaned piglets

Module 5 - Finishing pigs

Module 6 - Biosecurity
