The weather greatly influences crop cultivation: it determines the growth and yield of the crop. It also largely affects the development of diseases and plagues. The application of crop protection agents, however, must not be seen as separate from the weather. The publication Weather & Crop Protection clearly and practically explains this relationship to agrarians and contract sprayers.
In order to achieve a positive result, weather conditions are required to be optimal during spraying, meaning no storm or heavy rain during spraying, and certainly no calm. Agents also set conditions to temperature, humidity in the air, and other meteorological characteristics. Temperatures should be neither too high nor low, and night frost may be harmful to crops.
After reading the book Weather & Crop Protection, every agrarian and contract sprayer that deals with open cultivation knows how the weather affects diseases, plagues; and how to fight them, and also how to control them to obtain the best result for the crops, their wallets, and the environment.
